Candidates aspiring to appear for both IIFT and CAT exams this year can finally breathe a sigh of relief. After IIM Lucknow released the CAT 2017 notification the morale of many aspiring students sank as the exam date of CAT 2017 clashed with IIFT IB exam date.
But thankfully the issue has been resolved as IIFT has postponed their exam dates for MBA IB by 7 days. So, now aspiring candidates preparing for both exams will not have to choose between the two and can appear for both the exam without any hesitation.
The resolved dates for IIFT IB Exam 2017 are given below:
|Date of Registration||25th July to 15th September 2017|
|Downloading of Admit Card||6th November to 20th November 2017|
|IIFT MBA IB Exam Date||3rd December 2017|
The Registration Process of CAT 2017 will start on 9th August 2017 and all other CAT 2017 dates and notifications remain unchanged.
Around 60000 aspirants are expected to appear for IIFT Exam this year to pursue MBA in International Business. And around 205 lakh aspirants are expected to register for CAT 2017 exam to get admission into IIMs and other B-Schools. With the clash both CAT and IIFT exam dates, there was a tension around the aspirants as we all know that neither IIMs and other B-schools accept the IIFT IB scores nor the IIFT accepts CAT scores for admission. So, aspirants were left to choose any one of these exams this year.
Now, aspirants can appear for both CAT and IIFT IB this year, which has increased the opportunity for the candidates as they can appear for both the exams and can choose between pursuing a management degree in international business or other management degrees.
The clash of CAT 2017 and IBPS PO Mains 2017 is yet to be resolved so candidates are suggested to take their decision wisely and carefully according to their choices. Aspirants aiming to crack CAT Exam and want to enter into the management career should only focus on their CAT preparation.
