Samsung has announced Samsung will launch a new Galaxy device at a press conference scheduled to be held on August 15. Rumours are the company is going to unveil its next flagship smartphone – Galaxy Note 2, which will come with remarkable improvements over the original Galaxy Note.

According to BGR and Mobile Syrup, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will not only be thinner but taller as well. The device is said to have a 5.5-inch display, as compared to 5.3-inch screen of the original Note. The Note 2 will run on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and sport a 13MP camera. The device is expected to be powered by a quad-core Exynos processor, the same as seen in the S III.

Processor – 2GHz proprietary Exynos 5250 quad-core/1.6 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A9.

RAM: 1 GB RAM and 1.5 GB RAM.

Storage: 16 GB or 32 Gb.

Operating System: Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream

Sandwich. and upgradable 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Camera: 8 MP Rear and 12 MP and a front 2 MP camera.

Screen: 5.5 inch Super HD Amoled Screen.
